Well that’s a wrap! It’s been quite the experience the past
four weeks, we are still not quite finished, due to the slow and tedious
process of exporting videos from iMovie, but we will have them uploaded by next
week for the worlds viewing pleasure. We completed the Savage Pizza webisode
today and it looks marvelous, Little Five Points offers such a unique location
for our videos. Along with the extremely independent environment of Savage
Pizza. We reviewed our videos one last time to make sure they are as good as
they will ever get, and began exporting each video. With so much footage being
in iMovie right now, it takes forever to export the videos. This is a bitter
sweet moment for us, because this experience has been like none other. We have
met so many wonderful people, ate some incredible food, and done more editing
work than I thought that I would ever do in my lifetime. Once our viewers see
our videos, they will be able to appreciate actually how much work goes into
making and editing these videos. I can’t wait to release them, and see what
kind of response we get from the local Atlanta area.

Day 17, April 23, 2015.
We started and nearly finished our video of Savage Pizza
today. I really enjoy editing this video because Little Five Points and Savage
Pizza are such a unique part of Atlanta that I had never experience before, so
looking back on the footage it makes me want to go back every day. Audio has
been our biggest trouble with this video, lining up the voice with the mouths
when we detach the audio to put another clip in is somewhat difficult, but it
looks great. Tomorrow we just have to finish this video, a couple audio things
and some work on the outro and we should be finished. We also need to go back
through every video and make sure they are perfect. Then the uploading process
will take a while, but we should have them all uploaded by Sunday.
Day 16, April 22, 2015.
Another day of editing down in the books, and another video
ready to present. We are so close to the end yet so far, we have no completed
four videos, so we have one more to complete by Friday. We have done so much
editing on my computer I don’t know how it isn’t fried yet, it actually kind of
worries me that it will crash somehow, but I have backed it up in three
different places so fingers crossed something drastic doesn’t happen. Going
into this project I had some editing experience, but I didn’t really know what
I was getting into. But now my skills have gotten a lot better, I’ve learned
new techniques and found easier and faster ways to do things. For example I
didn’t know you could detach the audio from a video clip, so by detaching the
audio I’ve been able to play certain audio from another clip while a different
clip was playing visually. I know that
sounds really weird but ya’ll will see once our videos are posted. Speaking of
which that is what I am most worried about out of everything, is posting the
videos and something goes terribly wrong like all the audio gets jumbled, or
videos disappear, or something along those lines. I also think I am panicking
too much but isn’t that what this project is all about!? Well either way I am
proud of what Murphy and I have accomplished so far, and I can’t wait to finish
this last video.

Day 15, April 21, 2015.
Yet another long day of editing, trimming, playing with
sound, transitions, text, and music. We edited the first half of the Mary Mac’s
Tea Room video today. This video is unique from the rest because the restaurant
is so full of history. We also interviewed two different people for this video,
one Mrs. Joe, professional back rubber, and Mrs. Merriam, twenty two year
employee. So they also told us a lot about what the restaurant used to look
like, and what traditions they have held until this day. We also finally did
our voice overs today for each video, just a thirty second bit about the
history or fun facts about each restaurant. We also decided to get one of our
friends to be the voice of the voice overs, because if you think about it, in a
good video or tv show, there is sometimes a different voice from the people
that are in the show. So we got another person to be that voice. We came back
and added in those voice overs to the already completed movies too. We also
finally came up with a production
company name, 36/32 productions. It’s a tricky thing to come up with, we wanted
something random, and that would still be kind of easy to figure out. We added
the production name into each intro, so our first two videos are completely
finished now. Were ready to get through these next couple days and have five finished
products.

Day 14, April 20, 2015.
Another day of editing is down in the books. These days are becoming
extremely repetitive, but these are the most important days of our project,
because total focus and determination on these days are what will make our
videos that much better. We completed our video of Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream
today, and I would say it is one of our most enjoyable videos yet. Because the
staff and environment of Jeni’s Ice Cream is so lively and friendly. It entices
you in with all the color, extravagant names of the flavors, and joyous
expressions from all of the employees. We did a great job on this video of
showing all of these aspects of Jeni’s Ice Cream, along with our taste testing
segment, which gives you a showcase of how they offer you every flavor before
you decide exactly what you want to order. Tomorrow we will be going to Lovett
to do our voice over session, and we should be able to release our first video
tomorrow night. They will be posted on our blogs for everyone to see. Hopefully
we can successfully upload it to Youtube.com without losing any of the quality,
and have it for everyone to view. We will keep the blog as updated as possible
so everyone knows when we are going to release our first video, can’t wait!

Day 13, April 17, 2015.
Today was kind of a sad day for us, we finally had to let
our camera go. We had to go back to Aperturent to return our camera, it was a
fun three weeks with this camera, there were very little speed bumps we had
with it, and it worked so well, it really is the reason why our videos are
going to look so good. Getting a camera was one of the most stressful parts of
our project, but we got it and used it to our full advantage. We also started
editing our Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream video today, and so far it looks great.
The interview that we did with Jeni’s really exemplifies all of the fantastic
qualities of Jeni’s, and what makes it unique from all other ice cream shots.
And it’s a good addition to our videos, a little desert aspect so that our
viewers can go to one of our restaurants we have videos for, then get desert
afterwards at Jeni’s. This video should be finished on Monday, which leaves us
with four more days after that to finish our last two videos on Mary Mac’s Tea
Room and Savage Pizza. These days are definitely the longest and most strenuous
days of our project, seeing that we are in a time crunch, but we have stuck to
our schedule well, and we are confident that we will be finished by next Friday.
