Day 6, April 8, 2015

On paper, one might think that today was not a very productive or challenging day. But let me tell you, today was a very productive day. It’s more challenging than one might think to set up these interviews. It’s a process of trial and error, but at the end of the day we locked up two interviews. One interview is for tomorrow at Little Bangkok, a Thai and Chinese restaurant, to give us a larger variety of restaurants. We also set up an interview at Savage Pizza in Little Five Points. It was such a beautiful day today we knew we had to go ahead and get some exterior filming done, so we went down to Little 5 and did some filming of the streets and exterior of Savage. Savage is quite the cool little pizza place. It is surrounded around super heroes and comic books, so they have action figures literally hanging from the ceiling. We ate there to reassure that the reviews were as good as they said, and they were right. Another part of today that is more challenging than one might think is the sorting and cutting of videos. We take upwards of 40 different clips at each venue, ranging from 5 seconds, to 10 minutes per clip. It’s actually a challenge to decide what is video worthy and what is not, and that is a process that takes a long time. So we knocked out some video trimming today, which will help us out in the long run. I am very excited as to what our experience at Little Bangkok will be tomorrow. It is vastly different from any restaurant we have reviewed yet, and will definitely add a nice twist in our webisodes!
