Day 1, March 30, 2015.

Today was quite the interesting day for Murphy and I. Murphy slept over at my house last night so that we could review all of the adventures that are about to take place in the next month. Seeing that it would be our last night before we had full days of site visiting, eating, filming, and working on our daily blogs, we wanted to lay everything out, and make sure we weren’t missing anything big. Well we found the big thing that we were missing, and that was a camera! So our priority today was to get our hands on a camera. We found a great camera rental company called Aperturent, “camera gear when you need it”, well the motto fit our criteria. We met with Mr. Silverman to go over our final changes to the project, and to discuss details on the best gear for us to use. We placed our order for the camera and set out on the day. Today we decided that our project would be best if it were to be focused on the restaurants of Atlanta. Seeing that there are so many new restaurants being opened everyday, and so many that are timeless in the history of Atlanta. We will now do “webisodes”, five minute segments on each restaurant, providing a review, tasting, and restaurant history. So in this new theme, we did our research on local Atlanta restaurants, and even visited one, to see the endless possibilities we have with the interviews. We visited “Mary Mac’s Tea Room”, to try out some of their food, talk to their manager, and set up a future interview of Mary Mac’s. Probably the biggest shock of our day was how smoothly our camera rental went. After being faced with a daunting task of finding a camera in Atlanta without having to purchase one, we had doubt in our fate. But we prevailed, picking up the camera and running through the responsibilities of the camera itself. It almost seemed to easy, and made us question if we had really done it. It’s sad to say that on our first day our project was almost over like that, but no! We wouldn’t let anything get in the way of completing our project.
